      A' Christian Period (A' to D' Century)

      The notation of the first period consist of the letters of the Greek alphabet. The letters are put above or below the text to denote rise or fall of the voice.

      ST' Century

      In the wertern Europe the pope Gregory replace the Greek alphabet with the Lattin.

      Z' Century

      The Lattin was replaced with the NEUMES.

      H' to IB' Centuries

      The NEUMES took the form of the current notation in EUROPEAN MUSIC.

      The Second Period of the Byzantine Notation (D' Century to Ioannes Damaskhnos)

      The Third Period

      The Fourth Period

      Thr Fifth Period (from the Three Great Teachers, IQ' Century)

      With the Three Great Teachers Chrysanth, Gregory, and Xhournousios, the notation of the Byzantine music takes its modern form and completed.
